Palo Alto : Barcelona's most stylish and creative outdoor market

This monthly event is a mix of everything trending now in Barcelona.
Palo Alto hosts this style fiesta in a former warehouse with large brick buildings all covered in ivy and cosy gardens with picturesque lights and blossoms all around. Vintage handmade pieces, unique fashion, live music, plenty of foodie choices - Palo Alto is the place for you to have it all. It’s pretty unique.

Callejero and sophisticated, at the same time

Palo Alto was one of the first to bring a fresh vibe to the barrio of Poblenou and it’s still going strong. Every month you’ll find here independent artists, slow fashion brands, upcycling ideas, artisanal jewellery, ecological cosmetics, vintage furniture, handmade illustration, food trucks, street style fashion, crafts, books, records - you name it, they have it.
The market is also a tailor-made selection of innovative ideas, objects that are worth recycling or recovering, alternative projects and small initiatives from Barcelona and especially the barrio of Poblenou, the old industrial neighbourhood where many of the old warehouses and factories, Palo Alto included, are now being converted into new hotspots.

Fashion Made in Barcelona: Vintage, Handmade, Upcycled, Sustainable, Emerging…

You will find beautiful sustainable fashion made in Barcelona - emerging brands like Flip and Flip, independent fashion designers like IKA and cool brands like FUGA. Palo Alto is basically an ever changing showcase for vintage and new editors of fashion and furniture, design and accessories. You can find here pieces that are unique in style and unrepeatable, and expect quality products from independent artists and to stumble upon vintage garments and accessories converted into 100% handmade trendy objects.
Designer Javier Mariscal from Palo Alto Foundation has led the transformation of this old factory into a space to bring together studios of creatives, fashion designers and artists.

Trending Street Food

Many chefs from Barcelona are now taking their kitchen to the street or install it in a van and Palo Alto is a great foodie destination when it comes to street food to enjoy outdoors. Plenty of food trucks offer bites and burgers and tacos and ceviche and tapas to go with a nice cool glass of Moritz or a vermouth. The vegan options are rich as well and range from vegan pulled burgers to various bocadillos.
Every month Palo Alto has a special theme and the style of the market stands and the live music tend to be adapted to that theme. Sometimes it gets a bit busy and you’ll have to queue up. If you go to shop for fashion, in the mornings it’s more quiet. For good vibes and a stop at the food trucks head over in the afternoon when the live music heats up and people start to dance.
